REDWINGS are a national animal welfare charity, with centres in Norfolk, Essex, Warwickshire, Monmouthshire and Scotland. They gathered together a round table discussion group of highly experienced individuals including barristers, veterinary surgeons, police officers, local authority inspectors and animal welfare professionals, all with extensive experience of animal welfare cases and relevant legislation.
The subject was The Animal Welfare Act and whether or not it could be used to hold someone to account regarding damage/injury/death caused by fireworks.
Please read their very interesting report and consider showing it to your prospective MP. The general election on 4th July 2024 might be the change we are hoping for.
